Porthleven Glamping is tucked away in a peaceful field, just a 10-minute walk from the vibrant and ever-evolving fishing village of Porthleven.
As a parent to three energetic kids, some of our favourite activities here include jumping off the pier, crabbing, heading out on a fishing boat or kayak, enjoying beach picnics, and swimming in the sea. There's something for everyone, no matter your pace.
Porthleven truly offers the best of both worlds: a relaxed seaside vibe with top-notch food and drink. From Michelin-starred dining to pasty shops, delicatessens, classic fish and chips, cozy cafés, welcoming pubs, and even its own supermarket—there's no shortage of delicious options. Don't feel like cooking? Grab an ice cream and watch the boats glide in and out of the harbour, or warm up by a café fireplace with a hot chocolate in hand.
Porthleven is that rare kind of place—big enough to explore, yet small enough to feel like home.
Getting Around
The centre of Porthleven is just half a mile from the glamping site, an easy walk along a paved path.
If you prefer public transport, an hourly bus runs from Penzance through Porthleven to Helston and on to Falmouth. It conveniently stops at the bottom of the glampsite hill—perfect for tired legs after a full day of adventure.
The area is also a haven for walkers and cyclists. Just a 5-minute stroll from the village is Loe Bar, ideal for scenic bike rides. You can also follow the South West Coast Path east to Praa Sands or west to Church Cove, each about five miles away.
The surrounding region is rich in natural beauty and history. Explore dramatic coastlines, golden beaches, and remnants of Cornwall's mining heritage. Land's End, the Lizard Peninsula, St Ives, Falmouth (with its charming ferry trips), Penzance, and the iconic St Michael's Mount are all within easy reach for a day trip.
